“Differences challenge assumptions.” – Anne Wilson Schaef, noted author and lecturer
Master Mind Alliances are based on the coming together of “like-minded” people for the attainment of a definite purpose. While it is important that everyone be “like-minded”, it is very important that they not be of the “same mind”.
For a Master Mind group to be effective, it must be a constructive, respectful exchange of ideas and support. We must be ready to “challenge assumptions” and we can do that because of the diversity of the the experience, knowledge and skills of each individual member brings to the group. While the focus of the group should be common to the members such as internet or network marketing, or weight loss or whatever, diversity in the group brings a lot of strength. Young, old, men, women, African-American, Hispanic or Caucasian…these diversities bring differing perspectives and enrich each individual and the group as a whole.
When putting together your group, looking for “like-minded” people does not mean like you but people who have the same ambitions and focus as you.
