Why Do People Avoid Using a Master Mind?

I have another website which offers a place to find like minded thinkers and actually form Master Mind groups and then a way for people to meet online using video chat and an assortment of other tools.  And it’s FREE.

I’m not here to promote the site today but to try to figure out what keeps people from taking advantage of the MOST powerful success tool available…a Master Mind group.  We now have 56 members and only 16 of them have taken the time to fill out their profile.  There are quite a few that have never come back after signing up to join.  I don’t understand.

I’ve kicked this around a bit with myself and I have come up with a couple of possibilities.  First, the site may be difficult for the users.  I have had a few people ask about how to do this or that but I could count all the questions on one hand.  The second, and I believe this is the true underlying state of the situation is that people do not WANT to take action to make significant changes in their lives.

Now that those 56 have signed up, they can say, yes I joined a Master Mind.  They have signed up, but they haven’t joined.  They don’t want to do the hard part which is to participate.  Putting something they value (time) into the job to be successful.  I have reached out to the membership, but the ones I have talked to are ‘”too busy” to really participate.  They want to and they will but they just cannot do it right now.  Why did they sign up?  Is it the Fear of  Success?

My finding in life is that people who want real success get things done.  No matter how busy they are, when they signed up they made a commitment to themselves to jump in with both feet and get moving.  People who are too busy still find the time to spend three hours in the evening to watch TV, cruise the internet for porn, play computer games, chat for hours in chat rooms about nothing which will add the slightest value to their life and find anything to avoid the real work in adding value to their lives.  Successful people do not over commit, they test themselves by pushing their limits but they know what those little things they do, that they focus on, that can make a real difference so that is what they do.

Successful people understand the value of using a Master Mind group.  It is about multiplying their capabilities and knowledge by the capabilities and knowledge of the other members.  They use the Master Mind.  They are not afraid of the challenges that will spring up through the Master Mind because they can take advantages of the power of the Master Mind principle.  They are actually able to get more done because of their involvement than they would have if they had used that time another way.  So why avoid it?
